"pure Hitchcockian panic that reverberated like thunder..." NEW YORK TIMES" "Fever" is a highly atmospheric, compelling psychological thriller. - HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
Struggling artist Nick Parker (Henry Thomas) pays the bills by giving drawing classes to the elderly. Living in a squalid Brooklyn Apartment, Nick avoids contact with his family, including his sister Charlotte (Teri Hatcher, Desperate Housewives). The murder of his landlord sets off a troubling chain of events - but are they real, or do they exist only in Nick's imagination?
Director Alex Winter (Freaked), with cinematographer Joe DeSalvo (Johnny Suede), creates a stylish, claustrophobic world, revealed strictly from Nick,s scattered point of view. In maintaining this distorted vision, the audience views the story through Nick's muddled eyes, resulting in an eerie, sinister thriller. Thomas' persuasive dread-soaked performance keeps you gripped until the very end.
"Fever sustains a convincingly spooky ambience throughout, drawing from meticulously grungy sets and atmospheric locations (Greenpoint and the Lower East Side). Winter, still best known as Keanu Reeves's costar in the Bill & Ted films, achieves a degree of technical polish rare among American independents" VILLAGE VOICE
